Non-formal primary education


A significant number of NGO-run non-formal schools, serving mainly deserters government and non-government primary schools. Few NGOs, however, provide education to all five-year cycle of primary education. Because of this, at the end of their two or three years of formal education in primary schools run by NGOs, students normally re-enter the government / non-government primary schools to the upper classes.
There are no Governmental Schools (NGO) and non-formal (NFE Centers Education) and many of them are funded by the government. The largest non-formal education program is the BRAC program renowned. However, all NFE graduates do not continue to secondary school.
NGO run schools differ from other non-governmental private schools. While private schools operate as private enterprises often guided by commercial interests, NGO schools operate mainly in areas not served by either public or private schools, essentially to meet the educational needs of vulnerable groups of society. They usually follow a structured approach to meet the special needs of these vulnerable children. But today, some non-government schools are operating in places where there are two private and government schools.
Similarly, in the schools run by NGOs there is no SMC. The management style varies with differences in policies pursued by different NGOs. Some are centrally managed within a highly bureaucratic implementation, while others enjoy considerable autonomy.
Different NGOs different policies regarding the hiring of teachers. Some prepare a group of prospective teachers on the basis of a rigorous and hire teachers from this panel. Other NGOs recruit teachers rather informal local stakeholders available
